Suomenlinna Maritime Fortress is one of the biggest sea fortresses in the world, founded in 1748 and built by Augustin Ehrensvärd on islands off the coast of Helsinki Linnanmäki has entertained families since 1950. The main shopping streets in the centre are Mannerheimintie, Aleksanterinkatu, Kaisaniemenkatu, Pohjois (North) and Etelä (South) Esplanadi, Bulevardi and Fredrikinkatu. Nearly all of the major malls, department stores and little boutiques are within walking distance of each other.
