Food

The most famous local dish is bouillabaise, a fish stew with a tomato and saffron base. Salad Nicoise is also popular here, combining tuna, hard-boiled egg, green beans and anchovies. Vegetarians might prefer ratatouille, a tomato-based dish with onions, eggplant, zucchini and subtle spices.

Currency

The Euro (EUR), the currency of the European Union, is the official currency of France. Many stores and restaurants also accept major credit cards, which usually offer you a good exchange rate. When shopping, remember there is a Value-Added Tax added to most purchases.
