Townsville, the largest Australian city in the tropics, is a colorful collage of gardens and fountains, great panoramas atop Castsle Hill and Northern Queensland´s only gambling casino. Its major tourist attraction, however, is a world-class aquarium which showcases the Great Barrier Reef.

It's not surprising that Townsville has some of North Queensland's finest restaurants ... after all, the city is on the doorstep of one of the world's great fishing ground and some of Australia's most fertile farmlands. Freshly caught seafood and succulent fruits are among Townsville's biggest attractions!
