Pangkor Island
Pangkor Island, the paradise island, is one of the famous and well known islands in Malaysia. Pangkor Island is an idyllic and beautiful island resort for a carefree and relaxing holiday. Its natural scenery of green hills and palm-friged beaches of fine white sand lapped by the warm blue waters of the Straits of Malacca is truly magnificent.
Attractions
The island is famous for its 'ikan bilis' (anchovies) and squids. The real attraction here however are the enchanting beaches on the western coastline Pantai Puteri Dewi, Teluk Belanga, Teluk Nipah and Pasir Bogak. Among these, the quiet coves and untrodden bays at Tortoise Bay, Teluk Nipah and Teluk Chempedak are marvelous for swimming or just basking in the sun, in complete privacy amidst tranquil surroundings.
